My Story
I am aiming to complete the London Classics in 2024! This involves running the London Marathon (26.2 miles), taking part in Ride 100 (cycling 100 miles) and completing Swim Serpentine (two miles) in one year!
Why would I do such a thing?! It's all to raise funds for Women's Liberation Collective, the incredible charity behind the Own My Life course - a 12-week online or in-person course to help women who have been subjected to abuse to regain ownership of their lives.
According to the World Health Organisation, 1 in 3 women will be subjected to abuse in their life time. Those who have participated in the course say that it is "life changing" and "new, relevant and exciting." The content helps women understand abuse, trauma and misogyny, and identify harmful societal messages about abuse and women.
Please do give generously to this charity who brings so much light and laughter back to women's lives. I am a trustee at this organisation and it has personally taught me so much so now I want to give back.
Every penny counts. Just £10 could help buy a journal for a woman who has been subjected to abuse.
If you manage a team, work in HR and /or are a caring leader you may also want to take a look at our corporate offering.
Thank you and wish me luck!
