My Story

Ford RideLondon is the world’s greatest festival of cycling giving you the rare chance to enjoy riding a range of distances on traffic-free roads.

I have to admit this challenge fills me with dread, I hate cycling and I know it's going to kill both my back and other parts. My bike is going to probably fall apart as will I.

Why am I doing this, I attempted the MdS last year and in working with WWTW I got to speak with the team and took some real insight from them into their amazing work, the much needed support for ex-military personnel that they provide. I'm humbled by what they do and is achieved by your generous donations. Throughout the ride, being a novice rider, I'll be digging into the reserves and taking my learnings from my time with my hard-as-nails team-mates from tent 78 - listen to my body, keep hydrating early, keep talking and use my WWTW colleagues and charity as my why, most importantly enjoy the day.

If you could spare some of your hard earned pounds or pennies, every bit is gratefully received and put to the most important of use.

Thank you so much for everything you can spare, have a fantastic day
