My Story
I started riding with a new commuter buddy last year, called Matt who has diabetes. It opened my eyes to people taking part in sport that have challenges beyond fitness. I've had a heart condition since August 2000 and I've used cycling to get fit for surgery. But with Matt we have to check on his blood sugars at regular points. Investigating technology has made this easier for Matt to check his levels while on the go. This means he's rocking his cycling up to the next level. I only hope I can keep up.... ;o)
So when Matt said on one ride that he wanted to ride 100 miles, we hatched a mad plan that we should do the Ride London together.
We are both raising money for Diabetes UK and I'm asking each person to sponsor me 10p per mile which adds up to £10. If you can afford more then I'd be honoured and humbleled.
Thanks for any support and know that every message means the world to me and really will keep us going through every mile of training and the ride itself.
